Adriano’s story starts in a familiar fashion to many of his countrymen, with the young Brazilian avidly following Formula One on television and skipping school to watch test days at his local racetrack Interlagos. Adriano borrowed money so he could undertake a racing school course, and then stayed on at the school to work as a mechanic to clear his debts. He rustled up enough money to compete in a handful of races. After a meeting with Formula 1 Driver Alex Ribeiro, Adriano was encouraged to embrace religion and try a new approach to his racing ambitions and so Medeiros headed for England, searching for a real opportunity to break into motor racing.
Adriano applied for a job at Palmersport. and was offered a job as an instructor – an ideal opportunity to develop his ability behind the wheel and edge closer to becoming a professional racing driver. Adriano was able to gain support from two Brazilian companies with English connections: working with UK based Brazilians. With this support Adriano chased his dream and has raced in a variety of different cars. Adriano is now a three time Classic Formula Ford Champion and winner in the NASCAR Euro Series. He has been a Grade A ARDS instructor since 2004 and has spent the past twelve years coaching racing drivers from novice to championship winners. Adriano Medeiros is one of the judges and promoters of the Team Brazil Scholarship and will be helping to decide the winner of the Scholarship. He is one of the best motorsport coaches based in Great Britain and is a brilliant asset to the Team Brazil Scholarship.
